Edwige Buteau

Edwige is a strategic public relations professional with over 20 years of experience. In the span of her career, she has worked across corporate communications, media relations, thought leadership, issues and crisis management, and social influencer marketing as an agency, consultant and in-house communications leader.
Prior to joining Goodman Media International, Edwige served as the head of public relations at Gift of Life Marrow Registry, establishing a communications function that raised awareness for the nonprofit’s mission and services as a global donor registry and biotech entity. Edwige was responsible for spearheading a variety of public relations campaigns that covered healthcare, education, diversity and inclusion, community relations, and technology and innovation.
Before joining Gift of Life, Edwige ran her own consultancy, Spot PR, where she delivered earned media, social influencer campaigns, media training, strategy and counseling for clients that included Johnson & Johnson, Salix Pharmaceuticals, Bryant Park, BoxyCharm and Eureka. Among her accomplishments, she developed and executed Salix Pharmaceuticals’ first-ever social influencer campaign in gastroenterology.
Prior to launching her consultancy, Edwige served as a Senior Managing Director at New York public relations agency RF|Binder. There, she led award-winning campaigns for Fortune 500 companies, non-profit and government clients in areas such as consumer packaged goods, health and wellness, beauty, automotive, food, energy, economic development and technology. As part of the executive management team, she was responsible for new business acquisition and ensuring seamless integration with agency strategy, creative, media, events, digital, social and influencer relations functions across clients. Her diverse client list has included global companies, such as Johnson & Johnson, Eli Lilly & Company, Stride Rite, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Tupperware Brands, and Dunkin’ Donuts.
Edwige also held positions at Ruder Finn and began her career at the Chisolm-Mingo Group, a NY advertising agency that targeted African American and Hispanic Markets. Her clients at Chisolm-Mingo included General Motors and Denny’s.
Edwige holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Syracuse University.
